The Imam Ali Shrine, also known as the Mosque of Ali (Arabic: مَسْجِد عَلِيّ), is the mausoleum of Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, the first Shia Imam, and the fourth Rashidun caliph. It is located in Najaf, in the Najaf Governorate of Iraq. It is a profoundly holy site in Shia Islam.
