About Kantō region
The Kantō region (関東地方, Kantō Chihō) is a geographical region of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. It is commonly defined as the region that includes the Greater Tokyo Area and seven prefectures: Chiba, Gunma, Ibaraki, Kanagawa, Saitama, Tochigi, and Tokyo. The Kantō Plain makes up just over 45 percent of its land area.
