About State of Mexico
The State of Mexico, officially Mexico, is one of the 32 federal entities of the United Mexican States. Sharing its name with both the country and the national capital, Mexico City, the state is colloquially distinguished as Edomex ([eðoˈmeks], from E[sta]do [de] Méx[ico], "State of Mexico"). It is the most populous and second most densely populated state in Mexico.
